Examination and Scoring Thesis Studies

Research examinations are conducted by Technical Committees; they cover the research topic and related areas. The examination will include an oral presentation and defense by the student of his/her research topic. The Committee Chairperson will complete a record of research examination on a form supplied by the academic affairs office.B.Eng.’s thesis reports, which are judged to be satisfactory, are graded excellent, very good, good or fair. The assessment is based on the quality of the thesis and on the candidate’s defense of it in an oral examination.
